Blog content
Articles written for your site, one a day: posting them yourself, editing, archiving and Article settings.
What is Blog content?#
Blog content writes articles for your own website. It is under Distribution in the sidebar. We research the topics your buyers search for, then write one article a day and add it to your schedule.
- Press Start blog content. Nothing is written until you do.
- Your articles appear under Schedule as each one is ready.
- Open an article to read it, copy it, edit it or archive it.
Every article has key takeaways, a table of contents, its sections and its sources, with the word count and reading time at the top. Articles are written in your content language unless you pick another one in Article settings.
Publishing is manual for now: you post each article on your site yourself.
How do I publish a blog article on my site?#
You post each article yourself. That is what the Manual publishing label next to Schedule means.
- In Blog content, press Open on the article.
- Press Copy. The article is copied as rich text.
- Paste it into a new post in your site's editor or CMS, and publish it there.
- Back in HeyCatch, press Mark as posted. The article moves to Posted with today's date. If you pressed it by mistake, Undo in the message that appears puts it back.
HeyCatch does not publish to your site, so Mark as posted is how it knows the article is live.
Can HeyCatch publish the blog articles to my site for me?#
Not yet. Every article is published by you: copy it, post it on your site, then press Mark as posted in HeyCatch. Automatic publishing to your site is not available in the current version.
Can I edit a blog article before I post it?#
Yes. Open the article and press the pencil icon. You can change the title and the text, with formatting such as headings, bold, lists and links. Press Save to keep your changes. If you press Cancel with unsaved changes, we ask first, and Discard changes drops what you typed in this session.
Once an article is in Posted, you can still open it and copy it.
How do I take a blog article out of the schedule, or bring it back?#
Open the article and press the archive icon. It leaves the schedule, and Undo in the message that appears brings it straight back.
To see your archived articles, press the archive icon at the top right of Schedule. Each one has Open and Unarchive, and Unarchive puts the article back into the schedule.
What can I change in Article settings?#
Press the gear icon at the top right of Schedule.
- Market: the country and the language the search data comes from. The country decides which search volumes and ranking pages your topics are chosen from, and starts as the United States. The language is the one articles are written in, and starts as your content language from the Product brief. Press Save market. It applies to the next topics and the next article, not to articles already written.
- Brand negatives: up to 20 exact phrases the writer must never use, each up to 150 characters, on top of the phrases it already avoids. Type a phrase, press Add phrase, then Save brand negatives. Articles already written do not change.
What happens to Blog content if my subscription ends?#
No new articles are written until you reactivate, and Article settings cannot be changed. The articles you already have stay in Blog content, and anything you posted stays on your site, since it is your own site.
