Subreddits and keywords
Choosing subreddits and keywords, limits, subreddit rules, and keywords that change.
How do I change which subreddits I target?#
Open Catches and press Targeting, in the top right of the screen. Subreddits and keywords are both editable lists there. Our suggestions are only suggestions, you can remove them and add your own.
How many subreddits can I target?#
Up to 20. The counter reads Subreddits 7 of 20, and the keyword list is capped at 20 as well. At either cap the add button goes inactive, so you delete one before adding another. Both lists are edited under Targeting, in the top right of Catches.
How many keywords can I have?#
Up to 20 active keywords. The counter reads Active keywords 20 of 20 when you are at the cap, and the add button goes inactive, so you delete one before you can add another. The list is edited under Targeting, in the top right of Catches.
I added a subreddit but nothing appeared immediately.#
The feed rebuilds once a day, so a change shows up in the next batch rather than instantly.
Where do I find the rules and guidance for each subreddit?#
Behind the Account health button in the header of the Reddit section on Catches, next to the checklist and box icons that hold your Completed and Archived catches. It was called Rules in earlier versions, so that is the same panel. Scroll past the account audit and the bio block. Each subreddit you target opens into best posting times in UTC, what performs there, the tone to match and the rules to respect.
Keywords and subreddits themselves are edited elsewhere, under Targeting in the top right of Catches.
A post was suggested for a subreddit whose own rules say no promotion. Is that a bug?#
It was, and it is fixed. The fix shipped in our 13 August 2026 release, and newly generated posts and replies no longer target subreddits our own Account health panel marks as no-pitch.
Cards generated before that release keep the old behaviour, so one sitting in your feed now is an old card rather than the problem coming back. Skip it, or tell us here and we will look at the card itself.
The Account health panel is the thing to read per subreddit: it says whether links in the body are tolerated there and how a product pitch reads to that audience.
Why did my keywords change overnight?#
An edit to your brief, audience or competitors regenerates the AI-suggested keywords and subreddits. That regeneration runs when you press Apply now, and if you never press it, it runs on its own that night. Anything you added yourself is never wiped, and anything you removed never comes back.
