# How videos work

Where videos come from, how many you get and when they publish.

## Where do the videos come from?

They are AI-generated on our side, made for your product. The footage behind them is stock we pick, unless you give us something else to use.

Two things can be added to them, both in Background images and videos, the first section of Post settings. Your own images and clips go in through Browse files here. Photos and videos you choose yourself from our library come in through Add photos and videos, the tile next to it. Both land in the same library, and the scale under the tiles sets how often posts use that library instead of stock we pick.

## How many videos do I get per day?

You get 20 swipes a day, and the counter on the screen reads 0/20 swipes today. Approving and rejecting both count against it; publishing does not. When they run out you get a fresh set the next day.

If it ran out sooner than you expected, ask us here. We can see how many swipes have been used inside your project's current day and the exact time the window resets on your clock, which is more useful than "tomorrow".

## When is the video actually made?

After you approve it. A right swipe starts the render, so a finished video takes a moment to appear.

## Do videos publish automatically?

Yes. Once the account is connected, accepted videos are scheduled and published for you. This is the one place where HeyCatch posts on your behalf.

## Which platforms do videos publish to?

Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook.

You choose which of them a video goes to at the Select platforms step, where each platform has its own row and a Connect button if it is not connected yet. YouTube does not take photo posts, so on a slideshow it is marked "Not available for photo posts".

## Can I see why a particular video or post was chosen for me?

Not today. The reasoning exists behind the scenes but it is not shown in the app, and there is no way to propose a change to a video and see a predicted effect. What you can steer is what gets built next, in Post settings. If the imagery does not suit your product, pick the photos and videos you like from our library: in Background images and videos, the first section there, press Add photos and videos, search, pick, then Add to library. Your own photos and clips go in next to it through Browse files here. Then set the scale under the tiles to Mostly mine or Only mine, use Format mix to set how many videos come as Green screen or Hook demo videos, the formats that put a person on screen, and press Regenerate videos in the notice at the top of Post settings to rebuild the videos already in your deck.

If a specific video did not fit your product, send it to us in this chat and we will tell you what drove that choice.
