# SEO audit

What the SEO page checks, how to start it, what it costs and how to fix findings.

## What is the SEO page under Growth Audit?

It is a separate audit of how well search engines and AI assistants can reach, read and quote your site. SEO sits under Growth Audit in the sidebar, between Website optimization and Listing optimization.

The page gives your site an Audit score out of 100, made of four pillars worth 25 points each:

1. Crawlability: whether crawlers can reach your pages and read them. Indexing, redirects, the sitemap, load time.
2. Page clarity: how plainly a page says what it is about. Title, H1, headings, structured data, no duplicate pages.
3. Quotability: how easy your text is to quote. Direct answers, short facts, lists, numbers an AI can lift as they are.
4. Authorship: who stands behind the text. A named author, dates, cited sources, a consistent business identity.

A score under 50 reads Critical, 50 to 79 Needs work, and 80 or more Healthy. A pillar can show a maximum a little under 25, such as 20 / 23: some of its checks could not be run on your site, and nothing is broken. Under the score you see when the site was last checked and how the score moved since the previous audit.

Below it is Recommended fixes, a list grouped by pillar, and every fix says how many points it is worth. How to work through them is in "How do I fix what the SEO audit found?".

What it does not do. It does not connect to Google, so there is no Search Console data and no traffic figures on this page, and it does not track whether AI assistants mention you. It reads your live site with our own crawler: the homepage, robots.txt, the sitemap, llms.txt and up to 300 pages. Its score is also not the one on Website optimization: that is a separate audit with its own score, and the two numbers are not comparable.

## How do I start the SEO audit, and what does it cost?

The first audit is free. Open SEO under Growth Audit in the sidebar. The first time, the page asks for a link to your website or landing page, and it has to be a public page that opens without logging in. Press Add website and the audit starts. It usually takes a few minutes, and the page says up to 5. The audit covers the site at that address as a whole, up to 300 pages, not only the page you pasted, and a project has one website on this page.

After that there are two ways to run it again.

1. Re-run audit, at the top right of the page, is a full new audit and costs 40 credits. The price is on the button. One exception: if your first audit failed, running it again is free, although the button still shows 40.
2. Recheck, inside a fix, checks that fix and moves it to Completed if it now passes. Recheck all fixes, above the list, does the same for every open fix. Both are free, both read your live site again, and both refresh the score and the list. A project gets up to 10 rechecks in any 24 hours, failed ones included.

On a project whose subscription has ended the page is read-only: your fixes and their prompts stay available, and new audits and rechecks need the plan reactivated.

## How do I fix what the SEO audit found?

Each fix in Recommended fixes has an Open button. It opens the fix in full: What we found, How to fix as numbered steps, and a Fix prompt with its own Copy fix prompt button. That prompt covers this one fix, with the pages where it failed, and is written to be pasted into an AI builder or a coding agent.

To do them all in one go, press Copy fix prompt above the list. A window called Fix everything in one pass shows the prompt before you copy it. It points your AI tool at your audit through a public link that needs no login and walks it through every fix that is not passing yet. Paste it into Lovable, Cursor or another AI builder, or hand it to your developer.

When the changes are live on your site, press Recheck all fixes, or Recheck inside the fix you worked on. A fix moves to Completed only when a recheck finds it done on the live site, and there is no button to mark one complete by hand. If the recheck answers "The fix isn't live yet", the change has not reached the published site: publish it and recheck.

A fix you do not plan to do can be archived from its panel. It leaves the list but still counts against the score, and Unarchive in the Archived panel brings it back. The two icons above the list open the Archived and the Completed panels.

## My SEO score disappeared or reads Running after I pressed Recheck. Is something wrong?

No. That is what a recheck in progress looks like. While it runs, the score chip reads Running, the pillar scores show a dash, the button reads Rechecking, and Copy fix prompt and Re-run audit are greyed out. It takes from about a minute to a few minutes, and the score and the list of fixes come back updated when it ends.

If it ends with "Couldn't finish the recheck" and "Please try again. Nothing was charged and no fix changed.", and you have rechecked many times that day, you have most likely reached the limit of 10 rechecks per project in 24 hours, where failed attempts count too. The message does not mention the limit, and it clears within a day.
