# Funnels

One funnel or two, reading your funnel, and changing its steps.

## I have a website and a mobile app. Do I get one funnel or two?

Each surface has its own. Product has a tab for Web app / Website and a tab for your mobile app, each with its own cards and its own charts, so app screens and website pages are never mixed into one path. Inside a tab you can keep several charts, funnels and flow maps, and switch between them from the chart's name.

To add the app, press + Add mobile app at the top of Product, or open the install panel behind the gear icon, and follow the Mobile app section: copy the prompt into your AI builder, publish the app, open it once, then press "I've installed" within the next 30 minutes. It uses the same project key as your website.

## I do not understand my funnel. Where can I ask about it?

Ask the AI chat inside HeyCatch. Open AI Chat, under Home in the sidebar. It knows everything about your project and answers right there in the chat, so it can take you through your funnel step by step: what each step is built from, where people drop off, why a step you expected is not there yet, and what the other numbers mean. Ask it about practically anything in the project, not only analytics: your catches, the site audit and action plan, your posts.

If the steps themselves are not the ones you want to track, you can change them, from the three dots on the chart card or by asking the same chat. The steps are in "Can I change the steps in my funnel?".

It reads and explains, and the one thing it changes is the funnel itself: its steps, after you confirm the change it proposes. The first 5 messages every day are free, then 1 credit a message.

## Can I change the steps in my funnel?

Yes, and there are two ways.

On the chart card, on Analytics, Product:

1. Press the chart's name at the top left of the card and pick the funnel you want to change. The funnel HeyCatch built for you is in that list as Conversion funnel.
2. Press the three dots at the top right of the card and choose Edit. The Edit funnel panel opens.
3. Change what you need: pick a different event for a step, add a step with + Add step, remove one with the × next to it, or drag a step by its handle to move it. You can rename the funnel there too.
4. Press Save changes.

To build another chart, press the chart's name and choose + Create new. Pick the type: Funnel, fixed steps in a fixed order with the conversion at each one, or Flow map, which starts from one event and follows every path people took, including where they dropped off. Name it, choose the events and press Create funnel or Create flow map. The same list switches between your charts, and Delete in the three dots removes a chart you built.

Or ask AI Chat, under Home in the sidebar. Tell it which steps you want and in which order, in plain words, and it shows you the change and asks you to confirm it. The Edit in chat link that used to sit under the card is gone, but the chat still does this.

A step is something your analytics install already sends: a named event or a visit to a page. The list you pick from holds both and shows how many users each one has. A funnel needs at least 2 steps and holds up to 20.
